Tom Miller's play turns the Audience on its head, meta-casting some actors playing characters based on local Gainesville celebrities, and at least one actor playing himself.
Starring: Shamrock McShane, Carolyne Salt, Arleen Wolf, Michael Garvin, Xanna Prentice, Tom Miller (The Usher), George O'Brien as Carl, and Nino Barucci as the Voice of God. This debut comes with a "Post-Mission" (™Bobbitt/Miller) in which the Audience will enjoy light food, refreshments, and conversation with the cast members of Audience.

This play is unique among Gainesville Theatrical Productions. A Guerilla piece - Tom Miller's Audience has meta-elements. Several cast members are based on Gainesville celebrities - at least one cast member (a Gainesville celebrity and artist) will be portraying himself in the production.
The audience enters the theatre, and then the play arrives to watch them do their thing! The audience becomes the play!
A play about reclaiming our humanity through culture and the arts, Miller's most personal play. Having just returned from directing Michael Bobbitt's Sunset Village Off-Broadway, and then back to Gainesville where the play set the all time record Box Office in the history of the Acrosstown, Miller reclaims his edgy extreme avant-garde "happening" rinky-dink style of psych-theatre with a diverse and talented cast of Gainesville luminaries.
The play will only be shown in alternative venues and alternative spaces to a small (25) intimate exclusive audience.
On December 8th at 6pm, AUDIENCE will be part of the Acrosstown's Gainesville Homegrown Local Playwrights’ Showcase and be presented as a staged reading along with two other local plays.
Other performances of the play will be at the Blank SL8 on December 9,10,16,17,18 at 8pm, Hardback (at its New Location in "Undertown™"). They will be announced in Guerilla-fashion.
