You are cordially invited to cover the opening of Nothing in the Bo Diddley Downtown Plaza - Gainesville, Florida "The Known Center of the Universe."
Performance Artist Tom Miller and his crew have been diligently at work "Instilling" Nothing into the Downtown plaza. For 15 minutes each day at 5pm since Tuesday May, 31st, Miller and his crew have been bring nothing into the plaza, and Mr. Miller has been hard at work sculpting the world's first three-dimensional physical sculpture of Nothing.
On Sunday, June 5th of 2016 at 5pm, the sculpture opens to the public at large. We encourage you to cover this first-of-a-kind event. Nothing will be revealed, and the size and scope of the project is profoundly moving and huge. Mr. Miller will perform a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and then the Reverend Angeldust (courtesy of the Tabernacle of Hedonism) will bless the sculpture. The public will be able to view nothing in the downtown plaza for only one week before Nothing is removed in a three-day break down.
The public is encouraged to attend the opening, and visit the sculpture regularly throughout the week--interact with the sculpture, and take photographs. We are expecting several thousand people to attend the event, but it might be more like eleven or twelve.
Nothing is safe for children and families. This is the first sculpture of its kind ever created, and people can actually move directly through the sculpture and touch the sculpture of nothing without any worry of damage.

FACTS: This event has received a formal proclamation from the Chair of the Alachua County Commission, and has also received absolutely nothing from Mayor Lauren Poe, representing the City of Gainesville. We are so happy for all the support.
