A whirlwind March with several projects in the works. The Independent Florida Alligator reports I'm retiring the Reverend Angeldust's Tabernacle of Hedonism Open Mic (a.k.a. The Tom Miller Show) in December of 2024. That will make it 40 years of live interactive shenanigans - the longest running continuous live open mic night in America. Besides a plethora of brilliant bands, terrific beer, and local community, I'm playing electric bass in a reunited super band from the 90s, THE SPACE MASONS. Our lineup features yours truly on bass, the legendary Jack Mason on guitar and lead vocals, Kim Chalmers on violin, the multi-talented Jon Jackson on drums, and special guest guitarist Travis Tooke. You do not want to miss this. We start at 5:30 on Saturday, but get there early. Not to make too much of a pun about it, but doors open at 4:20.

You'll also not want to miss what has become a regular occasion to get together in a yard and have a character-driven punk party at Occupy Pancakes. All the info you need to know is in the flyer, but make note that not only do I have a primary performance slot, our good friend Adam Thorton will be here all the way from Texas and he's performing too! Along with other regulars and amazing performers, there's really nothing like this event. It takes me right back to the days of punk yard keg parties which used to be the fertile ground in Gainesville for many fantastic bands to reach their constituents until the Party Police came into being to crush our dreams. Thank you Marvo, Handlebar Jack, Auntee Bobo, Jason, and all the people who put this thing together. You can live the dream again! There will be pickles, pancakes, Hurdy Gurdy, tits, electric guitars, art, and a diverse group of the coolest people to welcome you to the event. Hope to see you there!
Also in April, Shamrock McShane returns to the intimate stage at Black C Art to perform his one-man play, The Seven Sides of Shakespeare! We haven't set the dates yet, but you'll have the opportunity to see Sham in an intimate theatre space perform his show in two separate events: Part I on one day and Part II on another. The play, based on the film, based on the play. Directed by yours truly (which is pretty much the task of getting out of Shamrock's way), we'll have lights, music, spectacle, and all the Aristotelian qualities of good theatre. And the spirit of the Bard will be upon us. Is that a dagger I see before me? Coming soon ...
