To: [email protected] Dear Mr. Hamm, My name is Tom Miller and I am a local performance artist here in Gainesville, Florida. At the end of May, I plan to bring nothing into the downtown plaza, assemble nothing into a sculpture, and leave nothing there for about a week, and then we'll come and take nothing down and remove it. Here is a link that explains more about the artwork. http://www.hatchfund.org/.../instillation_of_nothing... Here is another: http://millerworks.weebly.com/blog/instillation-of-nothing My question is, do I need a permit for nothing? If so, what are the arrangements, how much does it cost to put nothing in the plaza, will we need security to make sure nothing gets stolen or vandalized? Please advise. We're getting close to the event and I want to make sure that nothing is done correctly. Thanks, and I'll be looking for your official response on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs, Gainesville, Florida - the Known Center of the Universe. |
