On Saturday, May 30th 2020, Tom Miller will be performing a new work entitled, "CORONA NO-SHOW" in the Downtown Plaza. The show will take place over a period of two-days during which time Tom Miller will not be appearing. The show is open to the public but Miller advises people attend only from the comforts of home because the plaza is temporarily closed and he won't be there anyway.
"Please don't come to the Bo Diddley Plaza to see my performance. I won't be there, and plus, I don't want to encourage social gathering during a dangerous pandemic. You're lucky I'm even doing a show."
Asked how Miller was able to secure the Downtown Plaza for two days and put on a performance during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Miller explained since he won't physically be at the plaza, the formality is unnecessary. "I'm not attending my show. No chance in hell. I don't want to run the risk of infecting me."
Said Miller, "This two-day show is about the global future, and how entertainment has been naturally improved during isolation, just like the environment has, by not doing it or going to it. Entertainment is self-correcting and if we simply stop screwing it up with participation, it will become better, cleaner, and more sustainable and rewarding."
Asked what he plans to do for two days while his performance is going on, Miller said, "I might read a book, or do some exercise. I have an Oculus Rift now, that's pretty fun. It's like simulated reality, only you can actually hang out in it without catching Corona. For twenty minutes two times a day, I'll also be practicing Transcendental Meditation as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, because there's only cosmic bliss in the unified field within and the shows are better."
